Glory Rail Custom Processing Services

Designed according to DIN 536 A-series crane rails (A45, A55, A65, A75, A100, A120) are ideal for port cranes, overhead cranes, and heavy-duty conveyor systems. We offer tailored processing services to adapt each rail to your installation and project needs.

End machining: Rail ends are chamfered or precision-milled to improve joint fit and eliminate edge damage during wheel transition.

Curved rail forming: Cold or hot bending is applied under controlled stress conditions to achieve stable alignment for curved track sections.

Trolley rail preparation: Short rail sections and matching accessories are prepared for crane trolley systems used in port and heavy-duty handling applications.

Bevel cutting: Non-standard cutting angles, including 45° and project-specific geometries, are produced to suit complex installation layouts.

Surface protection treatment: Sandblasting, painting, or hot-dip galvanizing is applied to improve corrosion resistance in outdoor and marine environments.

Special end fabrication: Rail ends can be manufactured according to drawings for welded joints or custom structural connections.

With decades of engineering experience in rail manufacturing, Glory Rail focuses on delivering precision-engineered crane rail systems designed for demanding industrial applications. Operating under established DIN and EN specifications with ISO-certified quality management, we integrate controlled steel processing and in-process inspection to ensure consistent dimensional accuracy, mechanical performance, and long-term operational reliability.

DIN 536 A100 Rail System Solutions

Including Complete Rail Fastening Systems

  1. Crane Rail Clips: Custom-made for DIN 536 Series A rails, these high-strength clamps deliver superior vibration resistance. Ideal for gantry and overhead crane tracks, suitable for gauges ranging from 600mm to 1520mm.
  2. Rubber Pads: Shock-absorbent and anti-aging rubber pads reduce noise, cushion impact and protect rails for all crane applications.
  3. Steel Soleplates: High-quality steel soleplates provide rigid support, evenly spread loads and avoid structural deformation.
  4. Rail Aluminothermic Welding Kits: Complete aluminothermic welding kits for crane rail installation. It creates high-strength, fatigue-resistant rail joints via exothermic reaction. No complex power required, enabling fast on-site installation for heavy-duty crane rails.

DIN 536 A100 Rail Applications

1. Port and Terminal Applications

This is the primary application area for the A100 rail and the one that best demonstrates its value, as exemplified by the case of the mobile port crane in Indonesia discussed here.

  • Shore-to-Ship (STS) Cranes: Since 90% of STS cranes worldwide are designed in accordance with DIN standards, the A100 has naturally become one of the industry standards for container terminal and seaport lifting equipment.
  • Rubber-Tired/Rail-Mounted Gantry Cranes (RTG/RMG): Container handling equipment in yards must withstand demanding dynamic loads exceeding 2M, which is precisely where the A100 rail excels.
  • Mobile Harbor Cranes (MHC): Can serve as fixed tracks for backup workstations, enabling mobile harbor cranes to perform vertical container loading and unloading operations (the application scenario in this case study).

2. Steel and Metallurgy Sector

Steel and metallurgy environments are characterized by high temperatures, dust, and heavy loads, placing extremely high demands on rail wear resistance and stability.

  • Ground rails for overhead cranes in steel mills, foundries, and metal processing workshops are used to support operations such as the hoisting of molten metal. The A100 rail’s wide base plate design effectively distributes massive wheel loads, preventing rail deformation.
  • In certain environments with extreme heat radiation (such as near furnaces operating at 400°C), A100 rails made of special materials like 16Mo3 heat-resistant alloy steel may even be required.

3. Heavy Manufacturing and Industrial Facilities

In facilities where large or heavy products are manufactured and assembled, A100 rails are commonly used to lay internal material transport routes.

  • Shipyards: Used for large gantry crane tracks on shipbuilding platforms and in dry docks.
  • Construction machinery manufacturing plants, cement plants, and power plants: Used as ground tracks for heavy-duty cranes or specialized transport equipment within the facility to meet the handling requirements of large components.

Quality Assurance & Inspection

All A100 crane rails are manufactured to DIN 536-1:1991 (≥690 N/mm²). Each rail undergoes ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI), and visual check. Mill Test Certificate EN 10204 Type 3.1/3.2 is available. Full traceability via heat number. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TUV) is welcome at any stage.
