GOST Standard R65 Rail 

P65/R65 are the mainstream 65 kg/m heavy-duty rails for the CIS’s 1520 mm wide gauge. P65 and R65 refer to the same rail profile but are designated by different names. The standard covers all applications, including public railways, private industrial rail lines, subways, and industrial crane tracks, and is suitable for harsh operating conditions such as extreme cold, heavy loads, frequent braking, and tight curves.

• Heavy-Haul Mainline Railway: Suitable for 10,000-ton heavy freight trains with 25–32t axle load. Widely used in passenger-freight mixed trunk lines, long steep slopes, mountain curves under 650m radius and marshalling hump yards for long-distance transportation of coal, ore, grain and bulk goods, with excellent anti-brittle fracture performance in low-temperature areas.
• Urban Broad-Gauge Transit: Designed for the 1520mm Russian broad-gauge system, applicable to metro main lines, turnback tracks and suburban commuter railways, coping with frequent acceleration and braking of high-density passenger trains.
• Mining & Heavy Industrial Factory Sidings: Served as internal transport rails for open-pit mines, metallurgical steel plants, thermal power plants and cement plants. Resist heavy vehicle impact and continuous abrasion caused by ore and steel slag.
• Port & Intermodal Logistics Hubs: Installed in coastal bulk cargo terminals, yard loops and inland dry ports for container loading/unloading and bulk cargo marshalling, matching high-intensity frequent handling operations at docks.
• Heavy-Duty Crane Runway Tracks: Act as base running rails for gantry cranes and portal cranes in steel plants, ports and shipyards, distributing heavy wheel loads to prevent rail crushing and deformation.
