Glory Rail Custom Processing Services

Designed according to DIN 536 A-series crane rails (A45, A55, A65, A75, A100, A120) are ideal for port cranes, overhead cranes, and heavy-duty conveyor systems. We offer tailored processing services to adapt each rail to your installation and project needs.

End machining: Rail ends are chamfered or precision-milled to improve joint fit and eliminate edge damage during wheel transition.

Curved rail forming: Cold or hot bending is applied under controlled stress conditions to achieve stable alignment for curved track sections.

Trolley rail preparation: Short rail sections and matching accessories are prepared for crane trolley systems used in port and heavy-duty handling applications.

Bevel cutting: Non-standard cutting angles, including 45° and project-specific geometries, are produced to suit complex installation layouts.

Surface protection treatment: Sandblasting, painting, or hot-dip galvanizing is applied to improve corrosion resistance in outdoor and marine environments.

Special end fabrication: Rail ends can be manufactured according to drawings for welded joints or custom structural connections.

With decades of engineering experience in rail manufacturing, Glory Rail focuses on delivering precision-engineered crane rail systems designed for demanding industrial applications. Operating under established DIN and EN specifications with ISO-certified quality management, we integrate controlled steel processing and in-process inspection to ensure consistent dimensional accuracy, mechanical performance, and long-term operational reliability.

DIN 536 A65 Rail System Solutions

Including Complete Rail Fastening Systems

  1. Crane Rail Clips: Custom-made for DIN 536 Series A rails, these high-strength clamps deliver superior vibration resistance. Ideal for gantry and overhead crane tracks, suitable for gauges ranging from 600mm to 1520mm.
  2. Rubber Pads: Shock-absorbent and anti-aging rubber pads reduce noise, cushion impact and protect rails for all crane applications.
  3. Steel Soleplates: High-quality steel soleplates provide rigid support, evenly spread loads and avoid structural deformation.
  4. Rail Aluminothermic Welding Kits: Complete aluminothermic welding kits for crane rail installation. It creates high-strength, fatigue-resistant rail joints via exothermic reaction. No complex power required, enabling fast on-site installation for heavy-duty crane rails.

DIN 536 A65 Rail Applications

1. Port Terminals

Frequent loading/unloading of containers and heavy machinery, combined with corrosive environments (salt spray, humidity), demands high wear resistance, fatigue strength, and corrosion protection. Constant wheel pressure and frequent starts/stops easily cause rail head wear and deformation.

Glory Rail A65 Solution:

  • 75mm rail height + 175mm base width – significantly improved bending resistance for STS and RMG cranes under heavy-duty, repetitive operations

  • 65mm head width – smoother wheel-rail contact, reduced sway (alignment accuracy ≤1.5mm)

  • U71Mn steel grade – tensile strength ≥880 MPa, hardness 260-300 HB, excellent head wear resistance

  • Web thickness 38mm – withstands strong horizontal thrust from frequent starts, stops, and braking

  • Custom bending (hot/cold), CNC drilling, and other processing available for complex terminal layouts

2. Shipyards

Shipbuilding gantry cranes and portal cranes carry segment loads over 100 tons and move frequently along long rails. Fatigue fractures at weld joints and head wear are common pain points.

Glory Rail A65 Solution:

  • Standard single length 6–12 meters – fewer welds, higher overall strength

  • High manganese content in U71Mn delivers excellent impact toughness, resisting fracture under heavy impact

  • Welding guidance service ensures joint strength equal to parent metal (per BS ISO 12488-1:2012)

  • Complete fastening system with rubber pads effectively absorbs running vibrations

3. Steel & Metallurgy

Steel plant ladle cranes (molten metal transport) and hot rolling mill cranes face three challenges: high temperature radiation, dust, and continuous heavy loads. Repeated thermal expansion and contraction cause head spalling and joint deformation.

Glory Rail A65 Solution:

  • Web thickness 38mm – far superior rigidity to light-duty rails, maintains stability even under prolonged heat radiation

  • U71Mn tensile strength ≥880 MPa – safely carries ladle loads up to 250 tons

  • Hot/cold bending, custom drilling, and matching clamp plates available for beam connection

  • Optional anti-corrosion coating (painting / galvanizing) improves durability in high-temperature, dusty environments

4. Heavy Industry (Power Plants, Cement Plants, Large Manufacturing)

In coal-fired power plant wagon tipplers, cement plant crusher stations, and heavy manufacturing workshops, cranes operate under dusty, high-vibration, long-running conditions. Foundation settlement and horizontal rail shift are common risks.

Glory Rail A65 Solution:

  • 75mm height + 175mm base width – uniform load distribution, reduces uneven pressure on foundation

  • Web thickness 38mm – excellent lateral stiffness, prevents rail rollover or shifting under repeated wheel passage

  • Companion rail clips and rubber pads – flexible restraint absorbs vibration while allowing longitudinal thermal expansion

  • Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TUV) accepted – full Mill Test Certificate provided, meeting quality control requirements for international projects

Quality Assurance & Inspection

All A65 crane rails are manufactured to DIN 536-1:1991 (≥690 N/mm²). Each rail undergoes ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI), and visual check. Mill Test Certificate EN 10204 Type 3.1/3.2 is available. Full traceability via heat number. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TUV) is welcome at any stage.

FAQ

How can 12-meter crane rails be shipped? Can they fit into containers?

Some details you need to know

  • Shipping method: 12m rails are usually shipped as break bulk cargo, project cargo, or in open-top / flat rack containers.

  • Container fit: A standard 40ft container has an internal length of about 12.03m, which is too tight for safe loading. In most cases, open-top or flat-rack containers are preferred, or the rails are bundled and shipped directly on deck.

  • Precautions: Proper bundling and anti-corrosion treatment are essential to ensure safe transportation and protect the rails during sea shipment.

Selection depends on crane load, wheel type, and track design. A65 is ideal for medium to heavy-duty cranes. Larger sizes (A75, A100) are used for heavier loads, while smaller rails suit lighter equipment.

For optimal installation, we recommend using the MK7 rubber pad (7×170×12000mm) under the rail to absorb vibration and reduce noise. For rail fixing, you can choose:

These accessories ensure proper alignment, stability, and long-term performance of the A65 Crane Rail.
