A75 Crane Rail
A75 Crane Rail is a DIN 536 medium‑duty rail with a 75 mm head width, 85 mm height, 200 mm base width, and a mass of 56.2 kg/m. Manufactured from 900A/U71Mn grade steel, it delivers ≥880 MPa tensile strength and 260–300 HB hardness, offering excellent resistance to wear and plastic deformation under cyclic crane loads. Commonly supplied in 6–12 m lengths, A75 is the standard choice for heavy‑duty trolley tracks (ports) and plant floor crane rails (steel mills, fertilizer conveyors).

DIN 536 A75 Rail Applications
1. Port Terminals → Primarily used for trolley rails
In port equipment (such as shore-based container cranes (STS) and ship unloaders), the core application of A75 rails is as trolley rails laid on the crane boom, guiding trolleys carrying containers as they travel back and forth at high speeds.
Not main crane rails: The “main crane rails” used for the overall movement of cranes on the ground or wharf typically employ larger specifications (such as A100 or A120). However, due to its moderate cross-section (height 85 mm, base width 200 mm, weight 56.2 kg/m) and excellent wear resistance, the A75 is ideally suited for the high-frequency back-and-forth movement of trolleys.
2. Inside Industrial Facilities → Main Crane Runways (or Floor Tracks)
In steel mills, shipyards, mines, large manufacturing workshops, and fertilizer conveying systems, A75 is commonly used as a main crane runway fixed to the ground or load-bearing beams, supporting the movement of entire bridge cranes or conveyor vehicles.
Case Study: In a project where Glory Rail collaborated with a Pakistani client, A75 was used for conveyor car tracks in a fertilizer plant. The tracks were installed on the ground or on supports, with the entire conveyor car traveling along them—this falls under the category of indoor industrial plant gantry/ground track applications.
Other similar scenarios: Casting cranes in steel mills (for lifting molten steel ladles) and gantry cranes in shipyards sometimes also use A75 as the crane runway (for medium loads).
Our A75 Rail for sale
A75 crane rails are typically used in medium- to heavy-duty industrial applications, such as conveying systems in fertilizer plants, steel processing workshops, and track systems for port crane equipment. They are also commonly used as trolley rails in port STS gantry cranes to support the high-frequency back-and-forth movement of hoisting trolleys. This model offers an optimal balance between load-bearing capacity and operational stability, making it suitable for work environments involving frequent starts and stops as well as moderate impact loads. It performs particularly well in continuous conveying and material handling systems.
Glory Rail has accumulated extensive application experience with the A75 specification across a wide range of engineering projects. We offer standard-length stock to meet project requirements, along with cutting, drilling, and foundation preparation services to enhance on-site installation efficiency.
All A75 rails undergo dimensional accuracy and material property testing before leaving the factory to ensure excellent wear resistance and structural stability even under long-term operating conditions.
Quality Assurance & Inspection
All A75 crane rails are manufactured to DIN 536-1:1991 (≥690 N/mm²). Each rail undergoes ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI), and visual check. Mill Test Certificate EN 10204 Type 3.1/3.2 is available. Full traceability via heat number. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TUV) is welcome at any stage.
A75 Rail Custom Processing Services
Designed according to DIN 536 A75 crane rails are ideal for port cranes, overhead cranes, and heavy-duty conveyor systems. We offer tailored processing services to adapt each rail to your installation and project needs.

End machining: Rail ends are chamfered or precision-milled to improve joint fit and eliminate edge damage during wheel transition.
Curved rail forming: Cold or hot bending is applied under controlled stress conditions to achieve stable alignment for curved track sections.
Trolley rail preparation: Short rail sections and matching accessories are prepared for crane trolley systems used in port and heavy-duty handling applications.
Bevel cutting: Non-standard cutting angles, including 45° and project-specific geometries, are produced to suit complex installation layouts.
Surface protection treatment: Sandblasting, painting, or hot-dip galvanizing is applied to improve corrosion resistance in outdoor and marine environments.
Special end fabrication: Rail ends can be manufactured according to drawings for welded joints or custom structural connections.
With decades of engineering experience in rail manufacturing, Glory Rail focuses on delivering precision-engineered crane rail systems designed for demanding industrial applications. Operating under established DIN and EN specifications with ISO-certified quality management, we integrate controlled steel processing and in-process inspection to ensure consistent dimensional accuracy, mechanical performance, and long-term operational reliability.
