Steel Rail (75 LB) ASCE 75 Rail Application Range

ASCE 75 RAIL (weighing approximately 75 pounds per yard, or 37.2 kg/m) is a medium- to heavy-duty rail that is widely used in various industrial, transportation, and logistics applications due to its excellent durability, interchangeability, and cost-effectiveness. Its primary applications include:

1. Mining and Heavy Industry

Mining and Bulk Material Handling: Widely used in mine railways, mine transport tracks, ore stockpiles, and bulk material handling systems

Metallurgy and Steel: Suitable for material transport tracks within the heavy metallurgy and steel industries

2. Lifting Equipment and Warehouse Logistics

Crane Tracks: Often designed for the running tracks (crane runways) of light-duty overhead cranes, industrial cranes, small mining cranes, and stacker-reclaimers

Automated Warehousing: Suitable for track systems in large automated warehouses

3. Ports and Terminal Hubs

Port Loading and Unloading: Commonly used for heavy-duty loading, unloading, and transport tracks in large-span container terminals and ports

4. Rail Transit and Branch Lines

Urban Rail Transit: Can be used in subways, light rail systems, and certain urban rail transit lines

Branch Lines and Industrial Railways: Within railway systems, commonly used for branch lines, agricultural transport tracks, and various industrial yards

5. Temporary and Special Construction Scenarios

Temporary Tracks: In forestry operations, construction sites, and mining areas, ASCE 75 is often used for temporary traction or hauling tracks

Is ASCE 75 RAIL Fully Interchangeable with JIS 37A Rail?

  • Dimensional Equivalence: ASCE 75 RAIL and JIS 37A Rail own fully identical cross-section geometry, so rail clips, joint bars, bolts and sleepers fit both models without modification.
  • Load Performance Equivalence: Both rails support maximum 30-ton axle load, suitable for medium-duty mining carts, overhead cranes and factory transport lines.
  • Global Project Compatibility: For contractors undertaking multi-region projects (US, Japan, Southeast Asia), ASCE 75 RAIL serves as a unified substitute for JIS 37A Rail to simplify procurement and inventory management.
  • Supply Advantage: Our factory stocks mass ASCE 75 rail inventory, with shorter lead time than imported original JIS 37A Rail, supporting bulk shipment to all international ports.

Quality Control & Certification

Our rail manufacturing plant has 20 years of professional steel rail production experience, specializing in ASCE standard light & medium rails and equivalent JIS series rails for global industrial track engineering. All ASCE 75 RAIL products undergo 100% dimensional inspection, hardness testing and ultrasonic flaw detection before delivery. We have cooperated with mining, port and crane engineering contractors in Nigeria, Malaysia, USA, Thailand for over 10 years, providing standardized ASCE 75 Rail as JIS 37A alternative solutions for cross-border construction projects.

Every batch undergoes:

  1. Ultrasonic testing (UT) per ASTM E164 / EN 10228-3 (no ≥Φ2 mm defects)
  2. Dimensional inspection via laser profiler (±0.1 mm accuracy)
  3. Hardness mapping (5-point head, 3-point web)
  4. Tensile & impact testing per ISO 6892 / ASTM A370
  5. Mill Test Certificate (MTC) with heat number traceability
  6.  ISO 9001 / CE / AAR M-1003 compliance documentation

Custom processing for ASCE 75 – what we actually do

Glory Rail has a full fabrication shop for ASCE 75. We can cut rails to exact length, drill holes for any pattern (including non‑standard layouts), induction harden the head, and apply laser or stamp marking for full traceability.

We also offer cold and hot bending – useful for curved track sections, turntables, and crane runways.

Precision rail end beveling is available if you need a custom head profile.

For corrosion protection, we do hot‑dip galvanizing and other advanced surface treatments.

And we can machine bolt hole configurations to match special mounting requirements – slotting, countersinking, or multiple rows.

With decades of engineering experience in rail manufacturing, Glory Rail focuses on delivering precision-engineered rail systems designed for demanding industrial applications. Operating under established ASCE specifications with ISO-certified quality management, we integrate controlled steel processing and in-process inspection to ensure consistent dimensional accuracy, mechanical performance, and long-term operational reliability.

Full accessory package for ASCE 75 rail systems

As a supplier who actually works with ASCE rails every day, we don’t just sell the rail itself. Glory Rail stocks a full range of compatible mounting accessories so you get a complete system – one order, no guessing whether parts fit.

Fishplates (joint bars)

For ASCE 75, our fishplates typically come with four or six bolt holes. Lengths run from 300 mm to 500 mm, thickness 12 mm to 20 mm. A typical bar weighs about 5 lbs (2.27 kg), though exact specs depend on the design code you’re working to. Made from carbon steel – strong enough for light rail applications.

If you need electrical isolation – signal systems, or environments where stray current is a problem – we also supply insulated joint bars made from non‑conductive materials. Those keep stray current where it belongs and improve safety on electrified tracks.

Rail clamps

Clamps stop the rail from shifting sideways. We carry several types: adjustable clamps, weld‑on clamps, and bolt‑down clamps. Pick the one that matches your foundation and load.

Rubber pads (rail seat pads)

Put these under the rail to absorb vibration and impact. Less noise, longer rail life. We offer pads in rubber, polyurethane, and rubber‑plastic composites. You can get continuous full‑length pads or shorter segmented pads – depends on your track layout and how much noise reduction you actually need.

Steel tie plates

These are made from structural grades like Q235B, Q345B, or ASTM A36. Good weldability, good load carrying, and they hold up in most track environments.

Thermite welding kits

For field splicing, we supply complete thermite welding kits. The process uses an exothermic reaction between aluminum and iron oxide to create a high‑strength, fatigue‑resistant joint. No complex power supply needed – you can weld on site quickly. That’s why it’s the go‑to for heavy crane runways and continuous rail installations.
