Fishplates (joint bars)
For JIS 37A, our fishplates typically come with four or six bolt holes. Lengths run from 300 mm to 500 mm, thickness 12 mm to 20 mm. A typical bar weighs about 5 lbs (2.27 kg), though exact specs depend on the design code you’re working to. Made from carbon steel – strong enough for light rail applications.
If you need electrical isolation – signal systems, or environments where stray current is a problem – we also supply insulated joint bars made from non‑conductive materials. Those keep stray current where it belongs and improve safety on electrified tracks.
