Glory Rail Custom Processing Services

Designed according to DIN 536 A-series crane rails (A45, A55, A65, A75, A100, A120) are ideal for port cranes, overhead cranes, and heavy-duty conveyor systems. We offer tailored processing services to adapt each rail to your installation and project needs.

End machining: Rail ends are chamfered or precision-milled to improve joint fit and eliminate edge damage during wheel transition.

Curved rail forming: Cold or hot bending is applied under controlled stress conditions to achieve stable alignment for curved track sections.

Trolley rail preparation: Short rail sections and matching accessories are prepared for crane trolley systems used in port and heavy-duty handling applications.

Bevel cutting: Non-standard cutting angles, including 45° and project-specific geometries, are produced to suit complex installation layouts.

Surface protection treatment: Sandblasting, painting, or hot-dip galvanizing is applied to improve corrosion resistance in outdoor and marine environments.

Special end fabrication: Rail ends can be manufactured according to drawings for welded joints or custom structural connections.

With decades of engineering experience in rail manufacturing, Glory Rail focuses on delivering precision-engineered crane rail systems designed for demanding industrial applications. Operating under established DIN and EN specifications with ISO-certified quality management, we integrate controlled steel processing and in-process inspection to ensure consistent dimensional accuracy, mechanical performance, and long-term operational reliability.

DIN 536 A55 Crane Rail System Solutions

Including Complete Rail Fastening Systems

  1. Crane Rail Clips: Custom-made for DIN 536 Series A rails, these high-strength clamps deliver superior vibration resistance. Ideal for gantry and overhead crane tracks, suitable for gauges ranging from 600mm to 1520mm.
  2. Rubber Pads: Shock-absorbent and anti-aging rubber pads reduce noise, cushion impact and protect rails for all crane applications.
  3. Steel Soleplates: High-quality steel soleplates provide rigid support, evenly spread loads and avoid structural deformation.
  4. Rail Aluminothermic Welding Kits: Complete aluminothermic welding kits for crane rail installation. It creates high-strength, fatigue-resistant rail joints via exothermic reaction. No complex power required, enabling fast on-site installation for heavy-duty crane rails.

To ensure optimal performance and long service life for your A55 rail system, we recommend the following proven compatible accessories for safety, vibration damping, and durability.

DIN 536 A55 Rail Applications

Port Terminals — The Backbone of Light-to-Medium-Duty Material Handling

A55 is widely used in port terminals for gantry cranes (RTGs), bridge cranes, and shore-side container handling systems. Its 150 mm wide base effectively distributes concentrated loads from crane wheel pressure, reducing foundation settlement and ensuring stable operation during high-frequency operations. At the same time, the A55’s excellent fatigue resistance withstands the high-frequency, heavy-load cycles typical of port environments, ensuring the stability of continuous equipment operation. A typical example is the industrial port expansion project at Port Klang, Malaysia, where A55 rails were used to support shore-side container cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 50 tons.

Shipyards — Running Bases for Shipbuilding Gantry Cranes and Mobile Gantry Cranes

Used for the running rails of small-to-medium-sized gantry cranes and Goliath gantry cranes in shipyards. The A55 features a smooth rail crown design and low wheel-rail contact resistance, making it suitable for long-distance trolley travel and effectively reducing equipment energy consumption and flange wear. The stable running platform provided by A55 facilitates precise positioning and millimeter-level movement control during shipbuilding and section assembly processes.

Steel and Metallurgy Industry — Track for Bridge Cranes and Foundry Cranes

Used for bridge cranes and electromagnetic/grab cranes in steel mills’ steelmaking shops, hot rolling mills, and finished product warehouses. The high-manganese or 900A-grade materials used in the A55 offer excellent wear resistance, withstanding long-term wear on the rail surface caused by high temperatures, dust, and metal debris in metallurgical environments, thereby significantly extending the rail replacement cycle. Under such operating conditions, the A55’s web thickness (31 mm) enables it to withstand higher horizontal thrusts than the A45, making it particularly suitable for shop layouts requiring frequent emergency stops and lateral movements.

Heavy-duty Warehouses and Logistics Centers — Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) and Heavy-duty Shuttle Rail

Used for stacker crane ground tracks in automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) and for heavy-duty shuttle railways. The A55’s 55 mm flange width is well-matched to standard automated stacker flanges. Its high track precision reduces vibration and positional deviation during operation. The low-friction running surface it provides helps improve cargo access efficiency and reduce energy consumption in drive systems, making it suitable for track installation in large e-commerce logistics centers, cold-chain warehouses, and heavy-duty racking systems.

Quality Assurance & Inspection

All A55 crane rails are manufactured to DIN 536-1:1991 (≥690 N/mm²). Each rail undergoes ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI), and visual check. Mill Test Certificate EN 10204 Type 3.1/3.2 is available. Full traceability via heat number. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TUV) is welcome at any stage.
